چکیده

The stator immersed oil cooling has emerged as a promising thermal management method for high power density electric machines applied in aerospace applications. However, due to the complex geometry of end-winding, research on convective heat transfer coefficient (CHTC) flooded is still at infancy. This article investigates characteristics end-winding oil-cooled electrical by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods and experiments implemented motorette. variation law CHTCs with flow rate thoroughly investigated. Subsequently, new dimensionless correlations are defined using Nusselt numbers function Reynolds numbers, which further into detailed lumped-parameter network (LPTN) rapid evaluation temperature distribution. Finally, obtained simulation results verified local measurements. experimental also show that proposed structure can withstand current up 30 A/mm2 corresponding continuous 6.8 kW/kg.

Prediction and Measurement of Heat Transfer in Air-cooled Disc-type Electrical Machines

Accurate thermal analysis of axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) machines is crucial in predicting maximum power output. Stator convective heat transfer is one of the most important and least investigated heat transfer mechanisms and is the focus of this paper. Experimental measurements were undertaken using a thin-film electrical heating method, providing radially resolved steady state heat tra...

Transient Model for Induction Machines With Stator Winding Turn Faults

A transient model for an induction machine with stator winding turn faults is derived using reference frame transformation theory. A state-space representation of the dynamic equations, suitable for digital simulation is provided. Steady-state equivalent circuits are derived, from which the sequence components of the line currents can be estimated as a function of fault severity. Experimental r...

Transient Convective Heat Transfer

In nature, as well as within the human-made thermal systems, the time-variable regimes are more commonly encountered, if not always, than the permanent regimes. Nevertheless, studies in convection are still more frequent in the permanent regimes, undoubtedly due to the related difficulties in calculation in terms of time and cost of computation. One may distinguish two categories of time-depend...

Stator Core Stator Winding in Slots Rotor

Induction machines are perhaps the most widely used of all electric motors. They are generally simple to build and rugged, offer reasonable asynchronous performance: a manageable torque-speed curve, stable operation under load, and generally satisfactory efficiency. Because they are so widely used, they are worth understanding. In addition to their current economic importance, induction motors ...
